COVID-19 Recording and Monitoring Recommendations
The Covid-19 Monitoring Dashboard gathers key data for monitoring cases and resource utilization, both in intensive care units and in open units, in real time.
It is possible to get a quick overview of the current and historical situation using this Dashboard, supporting the manager in the presentation of information and in making clinical and resource allocation decisions.
The Dashboard also provides Benchmarking in real time, with current and historical data from the more than 500 hospitals that use the Epimed Monitor system in in Latin America and Europe.
For the most efficient case monitoring, we recommend that the data below be entered into the Epimed Monitor system.

Diagnosis Registration
Diagnoses of confirmed COVID-19 or suspected COVID-19 should be entered into the Epimed Monitor system. In cases of a diagnosis of suspected infection, it is important to return the form and update the diagnosis after the test result – change to COVID infection, if confirmed, or pneumonia if the test is negative.
All instructions for correctly recording suspected or confirmed COVID-19 diagnoses can be found here: Completion Guide
Registration of Mechanical Ventilation and ECMO
The registration of the beginning and removal of mechanical ventilation and ECMO must be performed daily.
Registration of Structure and Capacity
We recommend entering in the Structure and Capacity Form the number of hospital beds that can be recruited to become ICU beds, as well as the existing and recruitable number of items of equipment – respirators and ECMOs.
The Structure and Capacity Form can be found in the top Menu in the Epimed Monitor system.
