CBA

CBA – Brazilian Accreditation Consortium

The focus of the CBA and JCI mission is to promote the continuous improvement of quality and safety in patient care, through education and accreditation programs in health institutions.

To reach this goal, it is necessary to use methods and tools aimed at ensuring the effective adoption of care practices and conduct, as well as management, to achieve the best possible results in the care provided to patients, especially for those considered critical, serious, or of greater complexity.

To this end, CBA is announcing commercial cooperation with the Epimed Solutions Company, which specializes in solutions for the management of clinical and epidemiological information, which improves the efficiency of hospital care and patient safety. Using the Epimed Monitor System, it is possible to manage and analyse indicators, and to have access to an exclusive qualified benchmarking that brings together more than 500 hospitals, with predictive analyses that assist in decision making, improving hospital efficiency, quality of care, and patient safety.

More Information

Our understanding is that this partnership meets what the standards and requirements of the CBA-JCI international accreditation program advocate, thus complementing and promoting a greater opportunity and capacity for professionals, managers and the health institution itself to effectively improve their global performance, using reliable data, parameters, and criteria for analysis and monitoring, since Epimed also operates internationally, aggregating data from recognized technical and healthcare institutions.

This partnership will enable the CBA to expand and qualify its work as part of education and accreditation projects and programs, as well as specialized consultancies, even for institutions not yet accredited, now relying on the qualified portfolio of products and services provided by Epimed.

IBSP

Instituto Brasileiro para Segurança do Paciente

With the publication of the report “To Err is Human” by the Institute of Medicine in 1999 a wave spread over the whole world. This wave was nothing less than the realisation, by health professionals and institutions, that the assistance we offered was far from good.

Every year, all over the world, hundreds of thousands of people are victims of errors or failures in care. This is also a reality in Brazil. A reality that many are trying to change.

The IBSP has the following purpose: to help to transform patient safety in our country.
