The winner of the Epimed Solutions ESICM Award on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety valued € 15,000 has been announced

The winner of the Epimed Solutions ESICM Award on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety 2018, valued € 15,000 has been announced. The award ceremony will take place in Paris, on October 24th, during the ESICM Conference.

The winner, Natalie Pattison, from the UK, presented a feasibility study for a mobile application (Connect My Care) aimed at patients who are receiving intensive care.

The award, sponsored by Epimed Solutions, aimed to receive proposals for studies focused on improving patient quality and safety through four pillars: quality improvement projects, use of quality indicators, predictive models for evaluation of results or use of big data in patient safety for patients in the ICU.

Natallie Pattison stood out through a proposal that combines care for intensive care patients with technology and mobility. A patient-centered application for family communication and intensive care planning (CONNECTAPP).
